Hatha Yoga Flow
Michael has been fascinated by the movement of the body in all its forms since he was very young. He was introduced to the practice of yoga, the art of massage and sacred chants in Dharamsala in the 1990s by Indian and Tibetan masters. Numerous courses and retreats in yoga, massage and personal growth characterize his journey: pranayama, holotropic breathwork, Thai yoga massage, mantras and sacred chants, acroyoga, contact impro and Five Rhythms, Emotional Freedom Technique, non-violent communication, conscious sexuality with the Human Awareness Institute, New Warrior initiation with the ManKind Project. Certified in life coaching, yoga, Californian and Thai yoga massage.
After twenty years of committed and regular practice, he was trained as a yoga teacher by Charlie Stewart-Brown in a blend of vinyasa, hatha and restorative yoga with the belief that the benefits of yoga, meditation and mindfulness can be applied to every kind of individual.
In addition to English, Michael is fluent in French, German, Swiss German and Italian and regularly teaches in French and English, and sometimes both in a bilingual class.
He likes to immerse himself in the philosophy of yoga, takes an interest in Sanskrit, reads the biographies of the great yogis, the Yoga Sutras and the annotated upanishads.
Michael's teaching style is creative and open to new ideas as he guides his yoga classes with great precision, awareness and care. He is warm and welcoming to new students and always checks in with them as to their level of ability and offering adaptations they may need.
His classes integrate pranayama, mindfulness, static and balancing poses, vinyasa flows, sometimes advanced postural approaches, long floor stretches, visualisation and relaxation. With breath awareness and great respect, he invites his students to gently explore the sometimes unknown potential of their bodies and to gradually open out to achieving more, while also acknowledging its limitations. The primary focus is to reduce the anxieties of modern-day life by achieving physical and mental balance with a view to attaining inner calm and strength.
Michael is also a keen practitioner of acroyoga or partner yoga, which, as the name suggests, is practised in pairs (or more).

My journey with Yoga
I discovered yoga in 2019 and this discipline has brought me many benefits right from the beginning. It allowed me to find a global balance, has decreased my stress level and brought me an inner calm. I found the joy of feeling my body and understanding it better. In 2020 I decided to follow trining in a school in Sweden to become a teacher in Sama Yoga. This is a mixture of Yoga and Taï-chi with deep, fluid as well as intuitive movements.
My life's journey. I‘ve always been passionate about art and expression in all it’s forms. My first steps were directed towards a musical path dedicated to singing. I trained in various schools for 3 years and gained experience and different techniques.
Singing makes me vibrate and shine in my life. After a problem on my vocal cords, I turned to drawing and engraving for 4 years. Then I felt a great need to change directions, and I became interested in the field of therapeutic care and well-being techniques like Ayurveda, Yoga and Shamanism. I use singing and musical instruments in my therapeutic treatments as well as my yoga classes and workshops.
